International Couple: American and Japanese
Project DateSeptember, 2017
An international couple: Bride from Japan; Groom from America
A traditional Japanese wedding followed up by a casual, modern reception.
Wedding – Irugi Shrine, Osaki; Reception – Quartz Gallery, Omotesando
This wedding featured a lovely international couple, from America and Japan. The groom came from America to live and work in japan where he met his lovely wife.
As with many international couples who get married in Japan, they chose to wear Japanese Kimonos and have a Japanese, shinto ceremony at the beautiful Irugi Shrine in Osaki, in the southern half of the Yamanote Line that circles central Tokyo. Looking absolutely beautiful in their kimonos, they were surrounded by family and friends from both America and Japan.
Despite the tradition and seriousness that surrounds a shrine wedding, after the ceremony they had a casual reception party with their family and friends at the Quartz gallery, in the fashionable Ometasando district, enjoying lots of food, drinks, love and laughter.
We wish the bride and groom a lifetime of love, laughter and happiness.
