Home Wedding in Japan

This beautiful couple, with film star looks, had their ceremony and reception in one venue, aiming to achieve an “at-home” feel.  She Japanese, and he Australian, pulled off a stylish event surrounded by their family and friends from both Japan and overseas.

They chose the stylish Hotel Emanon, in Shibuya, for their home-themed wedding.  It is an industrial-chic venue, perfect for this couple.

Although a little early for spring, they wanted to bring a bit of spring into the event, so we fashioned a cherry blossom arch to serve as a quasi altar.  It looked pretty cool (even if we do say so ourselves), and right at home in the decor of the venue.

Despite being close the world famous, crowded Shibuya crossing, the location had a lovely “at home” feel, which was achieve in no small part by the people involved in the ceremony and reception.  A friend played the bride down the aisle; a family friend conducted the ceremony, and the brother of the groom (the best man) provided sterling support as the MC.  It was an unforgettable day filled with lots of love, laughter and a few tear jerking speeches!

We wish the couple all the very best wishes, and a lifetime of happiness.
