Message for Old, New and Current Clients

Serendipity is not just about weddings and romance; it is about making connections.  We strongly feel that, even in the 21st century, it is important to maintain international ties, and keep people talking across borders.  Recent world events have caused people to retreat behind their national borders, and this is dangerous.

When people retreat, they stop listening, when they stop listening they stop caring, and when they stop caring they stop trusting.  This gives rise to xenophobia, nationalism and hate: the very things that are anathema to an open society and the sanctity of human life.

We are not a government organization, nor are we a multi-billion dollar company, nor are we a political movement.  But we are people, who believe in people.

When people have positive international experiences they will take those experiences with them, and spread messages of love and friendship rather than division and hate.

Spending time in another country, meeting the people and experiencing a culture that is different from yours can’t help but broaden your world view and experience.

When enough people have a broader, more empathetic view of the world, it will naturally become a better place for us and future generations.  And if enough people are willing to open their minds to different experiences, cultures and ways of living, then we might just have a shot at world peace!

Wouldn’t that be something!?

How can we promote greater cross-cultural experiences?

Just doing business with us is going to be a cross-cultural experience.  Being in Japan is going to be a cross-cultural experience.   However, for a culture so far removed from the west as Japanese, some people may need a little help.  This is where we come in.

We want you to leave Japan wanting more.  We want you to come back and experience more of what this country has to offer.  From the modern, fast paced cities of Tokyo and Osaka, to the slower paced, more traditional cities of Kyoto and Nara, we want you to see the best that this country has to offer: try sushi, ramen, nabe and even natto; visit Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima and Nagasaki; experience a tea ceremony, wear a kimono or simply see the beauty all across this country, and we want you to understand how Japanese history as shaped the country it is today.

We have both local and international expertise.  Ross originally from London, UK, has spent the last 16 years experiencing, living and loving (and sometimes hating) Japan.

Ayako, though Japanese, considers herself an international citizen.  She spent over two years in Russia, studying the language. (Then she met Ross and studied another language!)

We have friends in Japan, Britain, America, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Turkey, Russia, Philippines, South Korea, Hong Kong, China and many more.

Building bridges and making friends; why we do what we do!
