Hi Everyone,

This is our first update in a longtime… So, longtime see!

How have you been? Well, we hope!

We are ok!  Well… Kind of.  It’s been a really, really difficult year, not just for us, but for pretty much everyone on this planet…  We started this year full of hope and optimism.  It is our second full year in business and bookings were up, network expanding nicely and all indicators were telling us that this was going to be our break-out year in business; the year in which we really put ourselves on the map!

Then, the proverbial hit the fan…

We won’t lie or try to sugarcoat things: it really has been hard to keep positive.   Sometimes we feel good; sometimes not good.  At other times, we laugh and at other times we cry…

In short, we’ve experienced the whole gamut of emotions.   I guess it is called being human.

We are TRYING to stay positive.  In fact, when this whole sh1t-show started, we took the time to study and learn new skills; the most notable of which is that Ayako is now a certified travel consultant.  We wanted to come out of this pandemic smarter than when we went in.

We are moving!

More recently, we have started making a new website and will be moving to a new domain.  This is progressing a little slower than we had originally hoped.  However, after rushing to get it complete by the end of September, we decided to take the pressure off ourselves, and it will be done when it is done!

We will make an announcement when the domain is active and the website is completed.

The biggest difference between the new website and the current one is that it will include a gated, members community. A place where Ayako, drawing on her travel expertise, can share specialized travel ideas and recommendations specifically to our clients. Clients will also be able to post their own suggestions and questions.

The most important thing to note is that we are slowly starting to get our Mojo back and want to say a HUGE thank you to all our super cool clients – that is ALL of them – who, to a person (or I should say, to a couple) have been flexible and so easy to work with. We can’t wait to finally meet you all in person once the travel restrictions are finally lifted.

We also wanted say a big “HELLO” to all you new couples who have checked out our website. We thank you for your interest, and hope to meet many of you soon!

Currently, Tokyo seems to be back to normal. Shops, restaurants and bars are open, with no limits to opening times or capacity.

The number of infected people in Tokyo is anywhere between 70 and 200 per day, but the all important hospitalization rate seems to be quite low.

The government is considering to start accepting tourists by next spring; hopefully April, but not really sure yet. There are a lot of rumors floating about, but nothing confirmed.

We want to give you right information, but we really don’t know what will happen in the future. What we will do is keep our ears to the ground, and as soon as we have something concrete to go on we will announce it here, and on social media.

We don’t know when this pandemic will end, but it WILL end! So, in the meantime, if you are thinking of eloping out here next year or beyond, please do not hesitate to reach out to start a conversation. We will be glad to meet you.

For now, stay safe, stay positive and we look forward to meeting as many of you as possible over the coming year!
