Wedding Photo Shoot
Project DateNovember 28th, 2015

We were asked to do a wedding photo shoot for this bubbly international couple: he from the UK; she from Japan. They met on a working holiday in Australia, and were unable to have a professional photographer at their wedding. Luckily, our photographer, Anthony Tran of Life.14 – and one of the best in Tokyo – was more than happy to fulfill their wedding photo wishes!
On a cold late-autumn day, they came to the serendipity studio, in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, and brought a little sunshine! They were such fun to work with, and being a supporter of Premier League footballing giants, Liverpool, the groom and I shared many a sporting story while waiting for the bride to get ready!
They arrived at the studio about 90 minutes before the shoot was scheduled to begin. A hair&make-up artist was ready and waiting. It took about 90 minutes for the bride to get ready, trying on several different dresses in the process. (On this occasion we had several dresses on hand for her to choose from.)
Although admittedly nervous, once the shoot started, they got into the fun of the event, which lasted about 2 hours. All in all, Anthony took about 200 photos, from “first reveal” and “first kiss” to fun with props and Ayako’s flowers.
We loved this couple, and since they live in Tokyo, we still see them from time to time, which reminds me, I owe him a drink!!
